How renting works

Six steps. No mysteries

First time renting? This is the whole process, start to keys — the same one we walk families through on the phone every day.

1. 01

   Find a place

   Browse listings, or call and we'll match you. Every listing shows what's included and the full move-in cost.

2. 02

   Set up a tour

   Pick a time that works and we'll walk you through the place in person — no pressure, every question answered.

3. 03

   Deposit

   Put down the deposit to hold the place. That, plus the $50 application fee, is what's due up front.

4. 04

   Apply online

   About 10 minutes, secure. Roommates apply individually, but it's a single group lease — everyone's on the same one.

5. 05

   Get approved

   Screening typically takes 2–3 days — and we text you at every step, so you're never wondering what's happening.

6. 06

   Move in

   First month's rent is due on the lease start date; pick up your keys at our Fayette St office and move in.
